Today, I received an email from my stepmom. It was a picture of a boy that she said she thought I might like to know. Next to the picture was the message, "He comes from a good military background." My love life is so pathetic that my stepmother feels the need to try and set me up. FML

Is he decent-looking? Does he seem like a nice guy? You might give him a chance. If he turns out to be a douche, nothing lost but a little of your time. If he turns out to be cool, who cares how you met?

it's only because they care about you. get out more. go out with your friends. you may not feel like it but it can be quite fun and you might meet the man of your dreams while you're at it.

Um, just tell her that he isn't your type. Duh. Afterwards, you could opt give her an earful for trying to set you up at all (if you really want to). Of course, she might just be trying to be nice. Quit making mountains out of mole hills.

Your stepmum is trying to doing something nice. She wants you to be happy. Be grateful! She is trying to help you. She clearly cares for you so please give the guy a chance. You never know what might happen.

At least she's giving you a pic and some info on the guy instead of a surprize blind-date. FYI: . . Military guys are gone a LOT, so you get to stay home, do whatever (whoever?) you want while you take advantage of the military benefits. Quit being so ungreatful and open your self to the possabilities.

hey, dont sweat it- My mom ended up hooking me up with a friend at her work; who actually turned out to be a real sweetheart- we're still in the process of waiting to meet and such. But really, maybe your step mom has a point, the only difference between ur story is I just recently split with my boyfriend and my mom thought it would be nice for me to have a distraction with someone who was going the same type of thing. :) Good luck tho
