Give it away

By zobara - This FML is from back in 2012 but it's good stuff - Switzerland

Today, after my credit card was stolen, the thief made donations to charitable associations. Now I feel bad for asking for the money back. FML

Wow this has turned into a denate on charity commercials lol... As for the charges on the credit card, they are insured and very doubtful they will force the return of the money. if the thief bought a tv, they can't get the money back from the retailer as the thief has the tv ;)

I wouldn't give a shit. I'd demand my money back. Robin Hood or no, it wasn't their money to give in the first place.

they put the adds around dinner time becouse its a good markiting sceem , you watching poor people or less fortunat and seeing your plate of food makes people think and feel bad

Op, stealing from someone else to give to charities is not right. No one is going to blame you for taking your money back. There are a lot of generous people in the world and a few hundred dollars (depending on your credit) is not going to do a lot in the long run. If you have your own family to support and bills to pay there is nothing wrong with making sure your money is where you need it. In reality, you are making sure you don't end up a charity case which allows other people, who truly need the system, to get that money. So really, by making sure you have money and aren't on the street, begging for money and getting loans you cannot pay off because of some jerk's idea of generosity you are preventing others for paying for you.

At least he didn't buy *****'s using your credit card and have them shipped to your own house.
