I wonder how he got to the shaver...

This FML needs a follow up.
The cat was behind this the whole time...
Teach him a lesson. You're the parent, (I'm assuming.) so show him who's boss. He doesn't need to do things like that. He could have hurt himself, or the dog. Punish him. As for the dog, it should be fine. Just keep it out of cold weather. The hair will grow back.

Hey Girl/Guy, just stop
Eh that happens on the internet. You post opinions and others don't agree but everyone has a right to it no matter how unreasonable or annoying. Hope I didn't bother you either.
@66- I worked with a dog groomer and in her experience, the only time a dog's hair doesn't grow back properly is if they have a thyroid problem. Like i said, this is just her experience but she's been grooming for 25 years. We clipped down my mini Australian Shepherd (who has a double coat) way down for the summer, and her coat is growing back in perfectly, and just as soft as before. :)
I wonder what happenned...
Shave the third grader
Unless he hurt the dog, I don't see this as an FML or a YDI. I've had dogs that got shaved on a regular basis for fur upkeep. I do question how he got the shaver; other than that no punishment needed.
Thank god he didn't hurt the dog, or himself
Who was NOT watching the third grader. Kids find mischief but someone should have confiscated shaver before dog was shaved. Poor dog but have to love kids sense of humour
Were they both yours, or have things taken a seriously Twin Peaks turn?
Yes. Plot twist: OP doesn't have a child or a dog.

Poor dog :( Hope he didn't hurt the dog while shaving it at least.
I see a future hair stylist... or comedian.
