Real vnegar is definitely not clear. Its color and shade depend on what it's made from, but regardless, it's very cloudy when shaken.

I don't see how not knowing what every color of vinegar is equals being stupid, nor did I see any malt vinegar comments when I posted mine. I do apologize for being ignorant, though.

Brianjman - If you've ever been to a restaurant, chances are you've seen two colours of vinegar. That's all that's required... not every other colour of vinegar. It just amazes me how many people don't know. I mean, you see the 'white' vinegar in one type of bottle. If you see a dark liquid in the same type of bottle, what do you think it is? Coke that you put on your fries? I think not.
