Got likes on the mind

By Yeahyeahyeah - This FML is from back in 2016 but it's good stuff - United States - Salt Lake City

Today, while at a family gathering, my teenage sister-in-law felt the need to loudly point out, several times, that her selfie got more 'likes' than my pregnancy announcement. FML

It's pretty self centered of her to try to hog the spotlight on such a big day for you, I'm sorry!

I'd consider that a Win for you, not for her.

Show it anyway

If she feels the need to compete with you and constantly remind you that, it seems like you can easily figure out who's more mature

Your life does not revolve around social media, unlike her, i assume. Do not mind her, she clearly just wants the attention to be on her, instead of you.Congratulations for the pregnancy, you will soon have a little cutie, be happy about this!

She's stupid a.f. But this generation is now based on how many likes and comments you can get, which is ****** up.

I feel saddened knowing 'this' is my generation...

No, you know what? You should be proud that you are a part of this generation. We have SO much potential! Yeah, we kinda suck, and are immature, but we all have the ability to change the world like no other generation could have before us. I am proud to be in this generation and so should you. That is my inspirational comment for the day goodnight everyone.

not really... thats like the small percentage of this generation that you see being popular on social media, nobody else cares.

You know what else would get more likes than both your announcement and her selfie? Her obituary. Get to it OP ;)

Considering she had to point it out several times, I doubt your family even really acknowledged her in the first place. At least, I hope that was the case!

I'm sorry OP. Remember that pregnancy is not a popularly contest. Just remember this and raise your child so they do not act like your sister-in-law. I don't care that she's a teen rude behavior is unacceptable no matter of age.

You must also be a teenager to care... How did this get posted?

She is a teen OP, a self-centered and immature one obviously. I guess you're an adult so why should you care?
