I can't tell if your comment is intended as an expression of pleasure at how you spent New Year's Day, or a whine about being alone. If you had fun, great. If you're whining, then YDI -- there are lots of things one can do on New Year's, even if you're single or alone.

Op, don't think of it as a bad thing. Pets are very loyal friends and members of our families. Honestly if my dog was still here with me, it would have made my new years much more fun and special. I'm a bit late but happy new years op, to you and your cat, haha.

I always celebrate things like that with my animals before thinking of humans. Oh and by the way, your cat also deserve a cake and an happy new year! So happy new year to the both of you :)
