Today, my son was talking about his upcoming wedding like it’s a disease he got diagnosed with, like, “Yeah, I got this wedding thing” or “Man, it’s gonna be hard to get through” and my favourite “A pain in the ass, I wouldn’t with this shit on anyone.” I feel so sorry for his fiancé, poor girl. FML

In defense of your son, I've planned a number of weddings, including my own, and they are supremely time-consuming and stressful. I looked forward to them, the end results were rewarding, and yes I wanted to be married, but 90% of wedding planning is for the benefit and pleasure of the friends and family, not so much for the bride and groom. I, too, frequently referred to my own wedding planning as a "pain in the ass" while I was planning it.
