Today, my dad said I need to stop playing with toys and threw my lightsaber out of the window. It was a replica of the Lightsaber used by Mark Hamill, made from the same type handle from a 1970s camera, just like the film prop. It was over 40 years-old and worth thousands. Not anymore, as it's now scratched and in two pieces. FML

I’d personally have it appraised and find out how much it would’ve been worth if it was still in one piece. I would then charge your father how much you could’ve received from it had it pretty much still been in pristine condition and you had been able to sell it.

Take him to court to reimburse the value of the lightsaber when it was whole.

A replica is worth thousands? What kind of idiots do you sell to?

Clearly, he's the one who needs to stop playing with toys.

Or at least get him a Leia fleshlight instead.

I find your dad's lack of faith disturbing.

I don't get the hype with Star Wars, and I am not a fan, but this made even me cringe. Regardless of the item, if it's worth thousands and someone just destroys it, that is NOT okay.
