Today, it's my birthday. Since my parents are in the middle of a divorce, my mom thought it was perfectly reasonable to burn the gifts my dad got for me in the fireplace. FML

I would first like to say Happy Birthday, and many more, op. Second, I am sorry your parents are putting you in the middle like that. Try sitting down with them and tell them what you're thinking/feeling. Let them know that while they might be mad at each other, they don't need to take it out on you.
