Help!

Today, I turned in an essay about a book I'd read over the summer. My teacher later called me to her desk and began to gush about how interesting the book sounded and asked to borrow my copy. The book I wrote about isn't real, and the main characters are named after my childhood pets. FML

Maybe you have a natural talent in writing. You should look into writing an actual book

Looks like it's time to write a book

You better write that book hella fast!

Are you kidding, OP?! You turned in the outline of a novel and your teacher loved it! It doesn't get better than that. Tell her the truth and start writing that thing immediately.

Sounds like you have an outline for a novel. Go with it.

My uncle wrote an essay based on a non-existent book once. His teacher noticed, but did nothing because they were impressed by his creativity, and it was a good essay. Of course, this was back in the '60s when schools were less strict.

Maybe you should get into creative writing instead

Either it was a really bad story or a really good story.

I don't think your teacher's really that gullible. She knows how to google things. She probably knows you made it up and is just messing with you. YDI. You couldn't even read the cliff notes or sparknotes for something?
