I don't think the counsellor know what that disease is all about. my uncle just died of it about 2 years ago...and it has absolutely nothing to do with communication. it has to do with deteriorating muscles. they deteriorate until you have no strength left, not even enough for your heart to pump. so don't take it too seriously, your counsellor is a dumb ass!

That counselor made a really disrespectful comment. The disease is also known as ALS, or Amyotrophic Lateral Sclerosis, and my grandfather died from that. It slowly causes your motor functions to deteriorate and eventually renders the victim helpless, all while their mind is left completely intact and making them prisoners of thier own bodies

First of all, that counsler should have her/his ass kicked. second of all you should too for putting sumthin on here that is utterly and discustingly disrespecful and could hurt people. your a piece of shyt. no wonder you need a marriage counsler. hope your husband eats pussy before he kisses you. bitch.

As the daughter of a hard-working man who was diagnosed almost 3 years ago with Lou Gehrig's Disease, I find this highly offensive. Its not funny to see your father slowly lose more and more ability to do normal every day things such as get dressed, walk down the hallway, even feed himself. He also is losing the ability to talk and I really cannot understand words he says anymore. I hope whoever posted this and whoever said this never have to go through what my family is going through. Think before you speak.
