I don't think the counsellor know what that disease is all about. my uncle just died of it about 2 years ago...and it has absolutely nothing to do with communication. it has to do with deteriorating muscles. they deteriorate until you have no strength left, not even enough for your heart to pump. so don't take it too seriously, your counsellor is a dumb ass!

Tell him: "Who the **** are you to criticize me and disparage the name of Lou Gherig, one of the most awesome baseball players of all time? You're a goddamn marriage counselor. Try gaining some perspective on your proper place in society and show some respect for the 99% of the rest of us that are higher than you in the social order." Then pause and ask him "How's that for communication?"

Look on the bright side, at least he didn't say you have Asperger's. A disease so made-up, even Google Chrome's spell-check refuses to acknowledge it exists! Okay, well, not entirely made-up, but probably 97% of the people who claim to have it don't.
