Today, I dreamt that I beat someone up for using Comic Sans in a project. Now I can't look at him without being irrationally angry. FML

Comic Sans Font: This font has a known side effect to cause intense rage, thoughts of murder and may cause a lot of "facepalms" if selected for a essay. Please contact your program help page if you're experiencing any of these side effects and reassure the person using that font that you will not cause any harm to them if they select a different font for their paper. Damn that Comic Sans Font!

My boss at the kindergarten I work at insists on using that font. She says it is fun and playful. Makes me want to punch the nearest kid.

No, it's not! It's not okay to hate someone just because they like comic sans! OP should just get over the fact that he/she likes comic sans.

Because of all the people who use it where it has no place to be used. It's good for playful things and very niche uses, it does these things well, but when people use it for things like restaurant signs, warning signs, essays and the like - that's when it gets out of hand. And people do this CONSTANTLY.

Not to mention if you spent time online I the heyday of geocities and angelfire you saw yellow comic sans on black starfield backgrounds so many times you wanted to claw your eyes out. Even reasonable colour choice doesn't save it, but comic sans was so often paired with eye bleeding, text chasing your cursor, animated blinky everything, auto play midis with no way to stop... It was part of hell sites. The association stays with you.

I know how you feel. Recently I dreamed a very realistic dream about that my professor got really drunk and began kissing me. I couldn't hold myself from giving him a disgusted look the next morning when he greeted me in class. He gave me grumpy cat face and stopped greeting me after that *facepalm*

Awful stilted, aren't we? But seriously, my company decided to use Comic Sans in one of their professional, nation-wide ads to promote our pharmacy. Despite my best efforts, I can not understand why. It looks AWFUL.

There is nothing worse than when companies use it. Once at my job they used Papyrus for a sign that they posted EVERYWHERE.

I really don't see the hate of comic sans. I mean sure, it's fine if you don't like it, but if it angers you so much that it makes you hate a person then I suggest therapy.
