I'd get a second opinion. I haven't heard of someone confusing excess weight for swollen lymph nodes. Given that swollen lymph nodes are usually a symptom, it could mean something more serious is causing that.
I had the same thing happen. Was sent to a radiologist for testing. Nothing. I just have a fat neck like I always have.
second opinion? the doctor was the second opinion and said op was fat. op doesn't know they're fat and thought they were swollen.
Swollen lymph nodes have a VERY different feeling than fat would. It's pressure pushing outward, not inward as would be the case with gravity pushing on fat. And "a second opinion" is a medical term for seeing another doctor to make sure that the first one didn't make a mistake, because doctors aren't infallible.
