Senior discounts are usually about ten percent. That would put your bill at about 10.67. If you automatically pulled out two fives to pay, it sounds like you've been getting the senior discount and no one told you.

You deserve it for 3 reasons: 1) You probably engaged in destructive behavior that caused you to look 10 years older. (drinking, smoking, lying out too much...) 2) You tried to make yourself feel better by insulting the poor guy for having acne, which he cannot help. 3) Because having to pay less money for your fast food is the worst problem in your life.

Be glad that you at least got some sort of a discount. Even just ten years back alone, with 30 cents, one could've gotten a pack of 5-pieces of gums and still have 5 cents left over to go buy a smaller gum like Bazooka gum.
