NOTE: if the guy was an old man, it's possible you did this not to steal the husband, but just to "Feell like a good person" perhaps. But again, in reality, he did not need your help if the car was parked and both people were outside of the car. A couple weeks ago, I pulled an asian lady from a car that was flipped in a ditch, and actually WAS SMOKING. Now THAT was necessary, and heroic (if I do say so myself). simply getting a dudes shirt out of a door, well, thats more of an ego boost or trying to hit on him, than it actually is doing something noble, no offenseeee.
So nobody is allowed to help people unless it's a life or death situation. It doesn't matter what he looked like. Decent human beings try to help people. He could have been caught in a way that wouldn't be fixed by just opening the door. You accuse the OP of being egotistical or trying to "steal" someone's husband, yet you feel the need to boast about helping a woman out of a burning car. Was she attractive? How do we know you didn't do it just to try to sleep with her? Since you're telling everyone how you're this big "hero" who's better than everyone else. Do you have zero self awareness?
Wow, you're a dick.
"No good deed goes unpunished." is literally used there. You try to help and you get attacked for it. I hope her purse wasn't filled with rocks.

She assaulted you, should've called the cops.
This doesn't seem like the type of 'emergency' that requires you to rush to provide assistance. Perhaps more measured action on your part would have avoided this reaction.
