No there is a problem, with you. You think he is a threat but if she sees no problem that means she is uninterested in the necklace boy. She sees him as a thoughtful friend. If she didn't tell you until you pointed it out then there is a secretive problem I'd be concerned about, personally if the necklace wasn't from my man though, I'd just store it with my jewelry.
