Yeah there is no problem here.... I always got my friends gf stuff. It showed we appreciate their friendship.

How do you think that's just material? While my husband and I were still dating I received a bracelet from a guy friend... At first he was upset, like op, but once we talked he realized it was just a piece of jewelry, it's not like the guy got me a ring or a box of condoms for gods sakes... Does that make me materialistic, to accept a pretty gift from a FRIEND. How would it be any different if the friend would have been a girl?

You know that regular sex makes babies and oral sex makes jewerly, so I think I'd worry more about the pearl necklace he most likely gave her earlier in the evening.
