Sounds like she's let him before, so something must be up (like she changed his plans for him). I did have a similar experience when I was poor enough to live in the top of their duplex with my young son. As soon as I had a guest over late at night, they came up and flat-out told them to go home (late enough for my son to be in bed is too late for guests). Had a guy over ONCE and my dad came up and tossed him out and told him never to come back. Then, they decided I was "unsafe" for my son and threatened to call children's services unless I moved back downstairs with them. Their reasoning? I wasn't raised like that.
