While I do see why you thought that was a romantic thing to do, I do wonder why you're surprised at his not liking the rose and throwing the poem in the trash. He's a guy. That's what most guys do. If you want to do something romantic for him, get him some ice cold beer and a porno.
Seriously? Is that what people really think guys want, only pleasure for the head between their legs, then you haven't met any decent guys. I know a lot of guys (straight and gay) who are interested in girls because they can be fun, funny, smart, intellectually challenging, etc. And yes, it sometimes progresses to bed, but it doesn't have to.
A flower and a note doesn't make up for sleeping with his best friend, sorry. ;)
He's a keeper!
that sucks, but guys dont usually respond well to poetry and flowers... that's kind of chick stuff.
doc_j what is your deal??
#20 If a guy treated me like dirt he would be straight out. I wouldn't pit up with that shit. It's really frustrating how guys seem to convince themselves that girls only like nasty guys seeing as I only go for fun nice guys.

That's just plain disrespectful. I'd be so gutted if that were me.
at least he didn't use it as toilet paper.
