It's the thought that counts…

Today, I wrote my boyfriend a poem, and left it on the bed with a rose for him to see after work. When I came home later, I noticed the flower in the trash, and the poem had been used as gum wrapper. FML

That's just plain disrespectful. I'd be so gutted if that were me.

at least he didn't use it as toilet paper.

dont be to harsh on him. men have a different mind set i litteraly through away everycard i get the second after i read it

While I do see why you thought that was a romantic thing to do, I do wonder why you're surprised at his not liking the rose and throwing the poem in the trash. He's a guy. That's what most guys do. If you want to do something romantic for him, get him some ice cold beer and a porno.

Seriously? Is that what people really think guys want, only pleasure for the head between their legs, then you haven't met any decent guys. I know a lot of guys (straight and gay) who are interested in girls because they can be fun, funny, smart, intellectually challenging, etc. And yes, it sometimes progresses to bed, but it doesn't have to.

A flower and a note doesn't make up for sleeping with his best friend, sorry. ;)

that sucks, but guys dont usually respond well to poetry and flowers... that's kind of chick stuff.

I agree that maybe it was a tad feminine, but that sort of disrespect is just wrong. no one that cold and disconnected deserves some one there taking all the crap they have to dish out.

The poem was filled with unneeded commas!

#20 If a guy treated me like dirt he would be straight out. I wouldn't pit up with that shit. It's really frustrating how guys seem to convince themselves that girls only like nasty guys seeing as I only go for fun nice guys.

I think you might be a lesbian. No guy wants poems and flowers. Seriously I have no idea why you would think a male would want flowers and a poem. it's just not something men are interested in. even gay men don't want poems and flowers.
