Aw, that is terrible. I feel bad for you! Frankly, both of my parents brought me to the store to get my nose pierced when I was 14! But then again....I am of South Asian descent, and it is common for women to wear a small diamond stud/ring in their nose.

#31 is an idiot. Body modifications have NOTHING to do with whether or not your parents "love" you, and not all dudes are as close-minded and useless as #31. Septum piercings aren't personally my cup of tea, but I respect the hell out of anyone's right to have them (or any other body mod)...and there are plenty of other piercings & tattoos that I find VERY attractive and, yes, very classy. I think it's pretty unclassy to not respect a person's personal choices about their own body. Your body is your business...and my body is mine. F off if you have a problem with that. However, I think the very act of posting this as an "FML" makes it a "YDI." BEFORE getting piercings or tattoos, you should consider what effect this is going to have on your life. I understand that there are folks who are going to make stupid judgments about my and my SO's (large, visible) ink; it doesn't bother me one bit. YDI for not thinking these things through. -.-

31, **** you dude. i have my nose peirced (stud, not septum, very few people can pull off a septum and im not one) lip stud (normally its a ring but i need to get a job), 00 gauge plus, and another peircing above it (its kinda cute, like a dimple for my plugs) and my parents love me and accept it, and it doesnt make me look trashy, sure SOME peircings make SOME girls look trashy, but dont generalize. i think piercings are incredibly attractive.

37 and 38: wtf??!? I said she had the right to have it too! i said the same thing #37 did! I said it was a mean thing for the mom to say, and I ALSO said that she had the right to get that piercing, and ive had a girl with piercing aside from ears, so im NOT judging or hating here. ======= ALL I SAID WAS THAT THE MOM WAS TRYING TO DISSUADE HER DAUGHTER (understandably) FROM GETTING A PIERCING! BECAUSE PARENTS, UNLIKE US TEENAGERS, DO NOT LIKE THEIR KIDS GETTING PIERCINGS! I mean, are you dumb or something? do you honestly think parents DO like it?
