true this can happen with anything that says made in china.
I'm sure it's illigal to sell pans that cheap so **** YOU
OP didnt mention it was plastic First off! Second you can buy an aliminum thin "pan" for a couple of dollars ! And um unlike you Whiner Not everyone thieves or has a trust fund! Some of us realize that its better to have your riches in the next life! So go play somewhere kid!
The OP didn't mention it was a metal pan either. A $6 pan from the grocery store would've done the job quite nicely. OP: YDI being a cheap idiot.
I saw those pans at the dollar store... they have a little tag on them that says "this item is a toy, not for actual cooking". Along with little plastic spatulas, etc, it was a childrens toy playset.
OP, if possible, try going to IKEA. They have a frying pan for $5 (Steka.)
I had this happen to me, it had a ceramic coating, after it had melted to my stove I found the piece of paper saying it needed the ceramic needed to be cured before using... With a glass stove i had to break it in a way where I could use the other elements.
Oooh, I second the Ikea idea!
Although the dollar store was a bad idea, Ikea isn't much better. I got some cheap pans from there once and after one washing the coating started to peel, revealing the lead inside. Yay lead poisoning!
Pans would never be made out of lead as it would melt almost instantaneously. I'm sure pans aren't that cheap =P
lol pwned, learnt the hard way huh?

wow some people are being really mean. try calling the company and telling them their pan killed your oven. perhaps they'll cover the repair/ new oven costs.
Ah, sucks for you :/ Sometimes investing in more expensive stuff is better in the long run.
