note: I just learned that since Washington is an "at will" state, you are legally allowed to quit your job at any time for no reason. If this is still causing problems for you, you should try filing an official complaint with the Washington State Department of Labor & Industries.

US 13th amendment - Slavery or involuntary servitude is Prohibited for all except prisoners serving time. You can quit any job you want at any time. Though there may be financial consequences if you had an employment contract. Traditionally you gave a two week notice as a courtesy to enable your employer to begin looking look for a replacement and to handle your last paycheck. But even zero notice is legal.
