To be fair, why is your 5 year old left without supervision long enough that he gets into the neighbour's yard? Watch you kid!

Obviously the parents cant teach the kid rules and manners if a fence needs to be put up..

Watch your kid and teach him to respect other people's property. They don't want to be responsible if a trespassing child gets injured in their yard. I don't blame them for taking extreme measures to keep your kid out, if you're not parenting him to know better.

I'd do it too. I don't need children getting into my nice yard. It freaks out my dogs and it takes forever to calm them down

What's the intension? I mean electric fences are not like deathly shocking but I think that's a bit much
