Less haste, less speed

By Fox - 25/02/2013 03:41 - United States

Today, while driving extremely fast on a road in the middle of nowhere, I started to go down a hill. Noticing a police car at the bottom, I slammed my brakes and blew a tire in the process. It turns out the police car was an old cutout used to trick people. FML

Because slamming on your brakes would have helped anyways...

Well if you were following the law it wouldn't have happened.

Well said 92, but what if he had ceramic pads, more pressure, more ware, quicker blow.

Used SUCCESSFULLY to trick people, apparently.

If you lock a wheel up it doesn't matter if you have Autozone pads and a single piston caliper or Hawk race pads and a 6 piston caliper, it just becomes easier to lock up.

got this wonderful thing called anti lock breaks..... try them out

Do you have any idea how hard it is to add antilock brakes to a car that doesn't come with them?

If it had been a real cop you most likely would have been busted already anyway. They have this thing called radar, and even lasers! You are busted long before you can even see them. Let the tire serve as a lesson, don't speed unless you're willing to pay the fines!

Good that it blew when it did. You're obviously driving on tires that need changing so if you're going to speed make sure your tires are up to it.

Yes indeed. Speeding in itself may or may not be stupid, depending on circumstances and skill, but driving fast on worn tires is completely idiotic.
