You didn’t take a photo with your phone after the accident? That would have shown her to be on the wrong side of the road.
The nerve! You improved her car and she wants to sue you? I guess, maybe she didn’t want you to make her car better.
If it there were witnesses and/or cameras, you would still be in some trouble since you drove without an insurance. As for the scene of the accident, were there no pictures taken? If police were not called to the scene, you should have taken pictures to prove that she was indeed driving on the road side of the road. You should have also taken pictures of both her car and your bike to prove the severity of the damages. I will not be surprised if she went home and damaged it even more so that she can slap you with an even larger lawsuit.
Is this a motorcycle or a bicycle?
Lose-lose here. YDI for letting your insurance lapse, but FYL for the stupid woman. One of my biggest pet peeves is people driving while on their damn phones. Nothing is so important that you can't pull over or take the call/text later. And it's even more irritating when the person on the phone drives stupidly and pulls this kind of crap, then acts like it's not their fault for driving unsafely. Ugh!
