You just got lucky. His girlfriend is nice enough to help you out and she is the one who has to put up with a drunk. Personally, I really dislike drunks/alcohol. But that's just me.

Really not an FML so a guy you like has a GF it's not the end of the world and at least you found out nicely
It's not really that he has a girlfriend I think (but that's probably a part of it). It's that she thought that they were getting along really well, and the conversation was good until the girlfriend calls up and tells her that he's drunk, and he texts random people when he's drunk. Her being the random person that he probably wouldn't usually text unless intoxicated. That's just what I think.
