Let me out!

Today, I parked my car in the company lot and walked down the street to a mandatory company training. While I was at the training, everyone back at the office decided to leave early and locked the company lot. My car is now stuck there for the night and I'm walking home. FML

If they leave early and notice some cars, they shouldn't lock the lot. Especially if they sent you away to something mandatory.

You definitely should have called the cops. I'm pretty sure your company technically stole your car. Also **** them for sending you to training on a day when everyone else got off early. That's some bullshit. Sorry OP

Hope your home isn't too far away, but ya I don't think they should've locked up the place if your car was still in there

That system seems like an odd way to do things, it seems like it could lead to issues, such as this one. All the company parking lots I know are always essentially locked, but they give every employee either a garage door opener, a pass code, or a key, so they can come and go as they please. I'd be pretty angry with my work place, they should have seen that a car was still there. I'd phone whoever locks the lot to come and unlock it, they inconvenienced you, you can inconvenience them.

Exactly this. I would've called the boss and told him to get back and unlock the lot!

Couldn't you call someone to pick you up? I hate walking alone, let alone at night.

Everybody? Or do you mean, everybody else?

Well at least your car was secure for the evening.
