Heck, I'd decline a second date over that, too. They have nothing in common except for half the name, and both involving space ships. The plots, philosophies, characters, settings... all totally different. It's like not knowing the difference between World War I and World War II. You don't have to know every single specific detail, but you ought to at least know that they're separate things and one or two very general facts about each.
