hm. i went out with a girl the night before this post and did kinda lose intrest in her because of that. i should forward this link to her and ask if she posted this, lmao. if it was her, i'll say this much: she's been over my house, she's seen that i collect sci-fi stuff, and that i don't hide being a nerd (despite popular belief, it's not that hard for a nerd to get a date). she asked me to come watch the new star trek with her, so i did, and right as the movie started, she asks if this is the one with harrison ford, the big furry thing and darth vader. i gave her a weird look, laughed for a while, and told her that was the dumbest thing i've been asked. despite that, i still watched the movie with her, but i wasn't interested in her for other reasons. but really, if she didn't know what she was going to watch, she could have told me beforehand, i would have gladly primered her on both series. i'm gonna have to get this cleared up with her :p

I'm not quite sure how this is possible, I mean it's not like he asked you how many jigga watz a star destroyer's laser cannon has or what warp factor you need to be going to travel through time. But seriously how the hell can you not distinguish between distinct 2 franchises that have been part of american culture for the last 30 years? I am assuming you're american, although even if you aren't many people who are not american who don't live in third world countries can distinguish the difference.
