Wow, the exact same thing happened to me, except I went to work yesterday and they sent me home because of my illness.

I know your pain. Some bosses are just ridiculous. Good luck with your boss (if you choose to stay at your job after that bullshit).

My boss sent me home because I blew my nose a bit too much and told me not to come back until I was better. I missed the day where everyone sang Christmas carols so that's all good...

I once called to say I was sick with the flu and wouldn't be able to make the meeting that day. I was told that the meeting was mandatory and I could be fired for missing it. I drove myself 25 minutes to get to the meeting only to be told by the manager to go home because I was sick.
