Only if you have hairy legs.
ydi, for not telling them no and either demanding proper athletic tape or simply sitting out. sucks to sit out, but making an injury worse by having to RIP duct tape of yourself is somewhat idiotic... hope you know better for next time
I don't know how old you are/how much athletic experience you have but it shouldn't have been that hard to figure out theyre not the same at all. anyway you should teach your coach this because duct tape is really nasty on skin.
While duct tape certainly is not athletic tape, taping up your badly sprained ankle and playing on it is also not a very good idea. Forcing through injuries during sports, especially youth sports (I sincerely hope this isn't a college and professional coach with duct tape) is a very bad idea, and can lead to longer-term issues. Ask my knees how I know!
Listen to yourself. You had a bad ankle sprain and thought it a good idea to put DUCT TAPE over an injury that’s already crappy to 💩-ty to deal with on its own. Hell, pulling duct tape off of yourself hurts like a mf on a regular day lol XD. YDI. Learn the listen to your body
Why on earth would you think it was a good idea to play volleyball on a badly sprained ankle? Athletic tape or not, that is unhealthy. The duct tape is just icing on the cake of bad decisions here.
