Morale booster

Today, I was trying to give a motivational speech to my team at work, because morale has been low. Halfway through, I blanked and ended up just saying gibberish and stuff like, "We’ll just fake it until we… you know… whatever happens. You know?" Not exactly inspiring. FML

if morale is low it's because people are over worked, underpaid and under appreciated

motivational speeches need to have an honest base. they need to speak to the audience. they need to have some hope. and they need to come from the heart. if the workers are demotivated, it's time to find out why. address the problems and seek the root causes from those workers. Make positive changes, hire another worker or two if people are overworked. increase pay if you have any ability. communicate the why of the current changes and seek their buy-in. just giving a speech because they are demotivated is not enough. it sounds like someone read a checkout line leadership book and didn't understand the phrases being spoken. leadership is a function of management. keep it there Nd become a better manager who takes care of their employees. the leadership will grow from there.
