So did she get flowers from someone else and think they were from you, or did she receive them earlier than scheduled and the company neglected to update your shipping order? Also, why is this an FML? If she thanked you for the flowers you're obviously on good enough terms after your relationship eneded, which to me says the timing of the delivery doesn't matter as long as the flowers were healthy and undamaged. Or maybe I'm missing something.
what he’s saying is that she knew he got her flowers before she received them because she has access to his accounts, so she likely saw the email from the florist about the upcoming delivery.
In this day and age, and when compared to other screw ups people mention on social media or whatever, you've probably come pretty close to hitting the proverbial nail on the head. However, there are still a few of us who would have more questions that require answering. For example; when a relationship ends, don't accounts (bank, email, whatever) end up being separated again? And if they hadn't gotten around to dissolving any joint accounts yet, why would he try to surprise her with flowers using an account she retained access to?
