So buy an anti-dandruff shampoo. It's really not that large of an inconvenience. Or here's an idea - seek actual medical advice on what's really causing the problem instead of diagnosing yourself on the internet based on the fact that you haven't gotten laid recently.

dandruff is a build up of oils on the scalp normally a yellow tint to it. Flakes on your shoulder are dry scalp. The first a clarify shampoo should clear it up or an dandruff shampoo. the second a moisture shampoo. Go to a hair stylist and they can tell you by looking for it. I see many people who say they have dandruff and its dry scalp most of the time. Dandruff shampoo will just make it worse. Find out for sure what it is. and I have never heard of depression causing dandruff as for hormones I doubt it and if it is its not because you haven't gotten laid. Its a change in hormones when they refer to hormones not sex,

Wow, OP your really stupid. I used to have dandruff, and it's not caused by depression and not having sex. Dandruff is clearly caused by dry scalp, judt buy some dry scalp shampoo.

Hi I'm Troy McClure and I'm here to talk to you about DANDRUFF! Dandruff is actually caused by the same bacteria that cause acne. The thing about dry skin is actually a common myth. That's why you need 'medicated' shampoo. See, acne actually feeds off of oil so having oily skin can result in more of it, so having a dry scalp won't cause too much dandruff (a little, but not a real problem.) Try some head and shoulders and see how it goes. And don't worry, that myth about chocolate causing Acne isn't true either. Eat up! /wink
