Nature is healing

Today, I was started my week of camping alone in the woods. I took my shoes off to go to sleep, but I had to come out to get water. I stepped on a wasp, and while I was standing on one foot looking at the sting, I realized I was in an ant pile. I'm allergic to both. FML

But which one are you MORE allergic to? Fortunately, you've unintentionally conducted an experiment to answer just that!

if you're allergic to ants, camping probably isn't wise

*is allergic to two very common things found outdoors* "Maybe I should go camping by myself for a while"

Bruh... why did you do that to yourself

That's why I'm not a fan of nature. That sucks, OP. I hope you're feeling better soon.

Why on earth would you go camping alone when you have two allergies that you would easily come across in nature?? If the effects aren't bad and you can just take a pill or rub some cream in, then I understand. But it's like an anaphylaxis kinda thing, then you're just asking for it by going out there alone.

You would thing maybe you should put your shoes back on given that ants are on the ground along with whatever else you don't want to step on but you seemed to find the 2 worse possibilities. You kinda deserve it.

As horrible as those experiences were, I'm sure you've taken a lot away from them, you've learned a few lessons in caution. I bet when you are ready for your next one, you will have a much better time. That's how I learned how to camp, making each miserable experience or mistake a learning opportunity. Don't let it discourage you, OP!
