Neighborhood watch

Today, I came back home to find that my house had been robbed, one week after my neighbors. I was walking around my neighborhood to see if anything was suspicious, and discovered that my neighbors had put up a sign, reading: "Rob the neighbors, THEY don't have a security system." FML

Take a picture of the sign as evidence in any police investigation. They could be complicit in the burglary. I'm not a lawyer, but I stayed at a holiday inn once, with a $200 hooker who told me I ****** just like her lawyer.

your neighbours can be in trouble with the law for that sign, take pictures and/or call the cops (or I guess they are already there since you got robbed, my bad). You can also buy the security system stickers to put in your windows even if you do not have a system - might be a good investment!

Nope. But if OP wants to retain my services I can whip up and excellent security system out of used tampons, alcohol, fireworks and a very large large sombrero in next to no time.

People have said it, take a picture of the sign, they pretty much assisted in the robbery. Anyone saying ydi for not getting a security system, do you know how god damn expensive they are, maybe the op doesnt have the money for one...

Actually not all are that expensive. Monitoring can even be done cheaply if you go with a local vs national company. Radio shack use to sell a install yourself one for next to nothing. Had no monitoring bit the alarm was enough to alert people something was up not to mention if they don't know which system you have they don't know if it's being monitored. To get the price of my system down I didn't put censors on every window. I have motion sensors and smaller windows have child locks on them so they can't be opened. I don't think op deserves it at all. But I do thunk more people should consider being proactive about security. Its sad that we have to. I did it not to protect my belongings but to protect me. I have insurance. Belongings can be replaced. Op gl getting through this. Totally sucks.

The neighbors may possibly be held criminally liable for what happened. But in today's world who knows.

You should kick their door in at 2am and then just go back home. It'll set off their fancy security system and then you can bitch at them about how it "woke you up." And also how they got your house robbed. Assholes.
