My dad was hiding in the hallway where he snuck in his huge yellow lab to see my mom in the hospital. Things were different in the 90s, somehow you could've snuck a huge ass dog into a hospital room. you unequivocally need to exit that relationship immediately. for him to be that selfish demonstrates narcissism and sociopathic behavior. things are only bound to get worse over time, and as horrible as a breakup is, especially with a baby in the picture, you should rip the bandaid off now. . .a friend of mine had a similar scenario with the birth of her kids, and now the oldest daughter has ptsd from the day that daddy hurt mommy in front of them.

It's usually really irritating when everybody recommends leaving someone but in this case I'd seriously consider it. That's a seriously huge **** up..As Every one else said if he's willing to choose a tv show over the birth of his daughter, I can't imagine he's going to treat you both how you deserve

Might have been an excuse to purposefully miss it. If he is a bit immature the idea of seeing that might have been too "scary" for him.
