Nice comparaison, thanks

Today, at 11 weeks pregnant, I excitedly told my best friend that my baby now has fingernails. Her response was, "You're beginning to sound like a pro-life bumper sticker." FML

I get it, you're excited for baby. One thing you'll find becoming a mom is you'll lose some friends and gain other friends.

Pregnant women talk about being pregnant. So do the fathers (assuming they're proud fathers). I'm sure I annoyed the living **** out of everyone around me when my wife was pregnant (both times). And now that the baby is a month old, all those people who were annoyed just want to see the baby pictures. You should just tell your "friend" to be happy for you and share in your excitement.

Someone's a Debbie Downer. Stick to that bumper proudly OP.

Better yet, place the bumper sticker over her trite mouth.

Comment moderated for rule-breaking.

Show it anyway

Then just keep it zipped up. End of freak.

Some best friends actually support each other. What a concept!

Congrats! Don't let them bother you with stupid remarks. It's exciting to know the babies process. Like someone mentioned above you will lose friends once you become a mom. Let them be haters!!!

how is it hating? my life does not revolve around my friends unborn kid. if that's all op ever talked about, I'd get annoyed too.

I know it's exciting, but don't bring anything baby-related up unless your friend starts the conversation. I'm 22 weeks into my pregnancy and I realize how f-ing annoying it is to talk about the baby all the time, not just for the people around me, but for me as well. It's tough, but talk about what you used to talk about until someone brings up the topic, then go buck wild.

You are more concerned about annoying your friends? Damn woman, your newborn won't stand a chance around you and your friends. If you think baby discussions are annoying, you will be miserable when the child demands your attention 24/7, when you are alone and when you are with friends.

I agree with 27. There's no harm in being excited about a new baby, and it doesn't even have to be about a baby, it can be about anything. If your "friend" can't at least share a bit of excitement with you, well then she probably isn't your friend after all.

I don't mind friends talking about their babies until it is ALL they ever talk about anymore...then it becomes a bit much. I will always support my friends, Moms or not, but I will also tell them when they sound like a pro-life bumper sticker.

@#12, have you not seen juno? :O congratulations by the way (:

Yay! I'm not the only one who thought of Juno!

Now it can claw it's way out... like an alien baby.

Congratulations! And if your friend knows your going to keep it she should expect to hear 'pro life' comments from you. If she doesn't like it she can go abort herself. Infront of a train. :)

I don't understand this - do you think that everyone that has chosen to give birth is automatically pro-life? To be honest, 99% of the pro-lifers I know are people that have never been pregnant. People that have been pregnant and those that have had children realise more how damn hard it is to just give birth, let alone raise a child so, among my social group at least, tend to have MORE pro-choice sympathies.

shut up farside. We get it. You have commented on everyone's comment. Take a chill pill and relax a bit.

pro life is the way to go. not pro-murder.

Hold up, I believe this sign is in order. "Please do not feed the trolls." Thank you everybody, and enjoy your visit to the internet!

I think she could've at least said it in a nicer way.
