Today, I was on a date with a guy, we were sitting in a restaurant having a fairly good conversation, when I had to go to the washroom. I left the table and when I came back, he was gone. Along with my wallet and car keys. FML

Bad move. If HE didn't steal it, he could've gotten up for whatever reason and someone else would have. You just don't do that. You asked for it by tempting fate, but I doubt you actually deserved it. So FYL.

Why in the world did you leave your stuff with him? O_o I agree with the person who said both YDI and FYL - it was a date, but never leave your bag/important items around with somebody you don't know well, hon.

am i the only one who would have left my stuff at the table too especially if it was a good conversation and the date seemed to be going well? i dont typically take my bag to the bathroom with me, my keys are usually in my bag and i wouldnt think to bring those too...guess thats just me though i say fyl

Why is everyone saying that she deserves it? You don't want to take all your stuff to bathroom with you, they would know that you don't trust them and then the date really wouldn't go well... anyway, I usually trust the people I go out with. I dunno about you guys but... =

I don't trust anyone. Who knows what could happen. Unless they are trusted and you know them for years/or married to them why trust someone with your valuable items. This FML is exactly the reason why you don't leave your stuff when going to the bathroom, they could get stolen. Some people have way too much trust others
