No excuse

Today, I posted a selfie on Instagram showing off my new haircut. However, I hadn't noticed that I'd forgot to switch back from my company's official Instagram account to my private account. The caption? "Feeling cute, might delete later." It stayed up for over an hour, and my future as a social media manager is up for debate. FML

Request a company phone. Unless they're paying your phone bill, you shouldn't be doing any company work on personal devices.

Def hate having my personal accounts associated with the company accounts. I deleted my linkedin and instagram years ago only to realize when we finally hired a marketing manager, my accounts were tied to them. Had to re-set them up to gain access. Never made a mistake like that though! Facebook is the tough one but thankfully I never have to post as the company on that platform.
