No future

Today, I went to my best friend's wedding. All my friends and their boyfriends were seated at one table, while I, as the only single girl in the group, was put on a table with all the other single people. They were all over forty years older than me. I feel like I have seen my future. FML

lol At least your FML didn't end with "And that didn't stop them from hitting on me. FML." :P

That must have sucked for the old folks too, being lumped together with other divorcees/widowers/widows - like they need a reminder of being on their own! Your friend is really inconsiderate!

wow. your friend is cruel. i would NEVER do that to people at my wedding.

Just because you're single now, doesn't mean that you're going to be single for the rest of your life. That and your friend is mean.

maybe if you stopped feeling sorry for yourself you would find someone.

Wow, where did this river of tears come from?! Oh yeah, the OP cried it because she's feeling sorry for herself. Why can't you just be happy for your friend instead of turning her day into a pity-party for yourself? That is, if she's still willing to be your friend (which after that I wouldn't blame her if she wasn't).

if she really was your best friend you probably would have been apart of the bridal party? like maid of honor or at least a bridesmaid? then you would have been seated with them so you might wanna start worrying about your friendship instead of your love life. just saying : )

if she was actually your bff wouldn't you be at the table with her? like the bridal party table? fake. get a life

Well in fairness, perhaps the OP thinks of her as her own "bff" but the feeling isn't mutual?

I got news for you, once you do find someone, you're going to wish you didn't. It's a fact of life. You want things, then once you get it, you no longer feel satisfied. The fact is, the sooner you realize that you are the answer to everything, you're going to feel exactly how you feel now with or without someone. The thing is those people in their 40s, might have been married once before, probably divorced, widowed, or paying child support and they probably look at you and wish they could be in your place instead of what they're doing now.
