WOAH that is some ****** up shit. Go contest the ticket.
I feel like most of the FMLs (like this one) on this site could be fixed with simply explaining it or some straight up communication. Do all these people just like to be wrongly accused?
If you don't believe this could happen, your head has been up your ass for at least a week and a half as mentioned by 9, 13, and 25. 11 also has a point as some districts have quotas making police officers choose from being a dick or feeding the family. Should stuff like this happen? No. Does it? Yes. Learn the difference.
I'd go to the station and talk with the policeman there about what happened. It'd be worse to run over a little old lady than disrup the traffic flow (just like ambulances disrupt the flow for a greater good). seriously, they tend to take things better that way. as i recall i was told that policemen have to write out so many tickets per day... and i know when my family gets ticked over stupid things usually my mom can get the ticked revoked if she goes to the station to negotiage it
fight it in court. unless the judge is a complete asshole, your ticked should be excused

What the hell?! That's soo awful!! x( Person: "But...but....this old lady needed help!" Idiot cop: "HAH! If I had a nickel for every time I heard that one..." *takes bite of donut and walks away*
Do they have tickets for everything in America?
