Today, I let my daughter dye her hair pink. I got an email from her school stating that the hair color violated the school dress code as it's “distracting,” and she will not be allowed to attend classes until she changes it. We do school over Zoom. Not sure how her hair distracts on a screen. FML

Today, yet again, I had to dye my hair brown in advance of the new school year, because my school doesn't allow "unapproved" colors, even if they're natural. FML

Today, I got a call from my 14-year-old step-daughter while I was out. She'd left nail polish in her pocket when she'd tried to wash the clothes. I now have hot pink streaks on most of my work clothes. FML

Could probably get around this by either having her wear a hat, tying back her hair, or using a program that will change the way the color appears to other people seeing it.

At least it's not as bad as the school who in a Zoom class saw a BB gun in a kid's room. Not only did they call the cops, but then suspended the kid for "bringing a weapon on school grounds"...
