Pragmatism

Today, I finally felt comfortable enough to admit to my partner that occasionally when feeling I'm depressed, I binge eat until my stomach hurts. His response? "We can't financially afford you doing that." I guess finances mean more to him than my mental health. FML

First of all, your partner is an ass. Second of all, binge-eating vegetables and fruits is a great way to stay in your budget while waiting for your therapist appointment. Third, potatoes should not be considered a vegetable for binging purposes. Especially if they're fried. Finally, you're great and valid and you deserve respect and compliments, so hang in there!

Well was the food free?? Do you have to buy more food now? Does it take money away from the other bills? If it does he’s just wrong for saying it out loud. But better then being told oh goody we get to starve bc you had a moment and wanted to eat everything in site
