Today, I rode my bike to work. While biking on the road, I gave a hand signal for turning left. A car passing the opposite way veered towards me and attempted to give me a high five. I now have cuts all over my body and my bike is in two pieces. FML

Today, I was riding my bike down a road I know is quite hazardous. Having almost been hit in the same spot the day before, I rode across the intersection very satisfied without having been injured. Until I crashed into the guy front of me and flipped over my handlebars. FML

Today, as I pulled to a halt at a stop sign, a cyclist ripped through the air, slammed straight into my fender, and almost launched over my car. I ended up being cited for reckless driving. FML

Today, I saw an elderly man fall in a crosswalk, so I jumped off my bike to help. As I helped him across, the light turned green. I then watched across a 6 lane street as someone stole my bike. FML

Today, I rode my new bike for the first time. I made it less than 100 feet from my driveway before I was almost flattened by someone driving on the wrong side of the road. Upside: I managed to get out of the way. Downside: I did it by slamming my brand new, expensive bike into a wall. FML

Today, I got lunch with a girl I really like. On the way, for some idiotic reason I decided it would be a good idea to show off by jumping up to high-five the red hand on a traffic sign. I ended up slipping and slamming full-force into the pole. I now have a bruise on my face. FML

Today, I was sent to the hospital after being hit by a car while on my bicycle. The police officer said it was my fault for not looking, even though the car pulled up without looking. I now have a small herniated disc in my neck and abrasions on my thigh. FML

Today, as I was walking to work, a cyclist shot out of nowhere and slammed into me. I hit the ground hard and lay there in agony. The guy quickly dusted himself off, said "Sorry man. It's a vicious cycle." then chuckled at his own stupid pun and cycled away. FML

That totally sucks! More bike riders should use hand signals. They don't have turn-signals on their bike like a car does. I vote its an FYL since the moron driving obviously wasn't paying attention in driver's ed.

#58 right on! And all you "get a car" people.....shut the hell up, you're retarded. Possibly the OP isn't old enough to drive....? hmmm maybe. I rode a bike for 2 years until i could AFFORD to buy a car....because my current one was not running well, AND not all of us want to drive gas guzzlers and further f-up the air. Good for you for actually using signals! hope you can get another bike!

#185 / ziqi92: The OP wasn't biking opposite to the flow of traffic. It was an oncoming car in the next lane over that veered over so the idiot driver could "high five" the OP. So yeah, it's pretty much a complete FYL.

i totally agree with the last thing that 158 said bikers on the road are really annoying, but honestly its not their fault i mean its not like you can get mad at them for following the law roads/sidewalks really need to be better equipped to handle bikes. it should be decided which one is safer and then have a lane made for biking and i know bike lanes exist, but really, they don't have many of them i know when i ride my bike i get extremely nervous on some roads
