Gustave Eiffel designed the statue of liberty.
No he didn't!?!? Frédéric Auguste Bartholdi did! besides, how can it be disrespectful?? the French were a major ally? Ugh, he sounds like he needs better education!
Erm what? 0_o How is it disrespectful? It was years ago!(Anyway I thought the French assisted with the revolution?) But seriously, I do not see how it is disrespectful to acknowledge the other countries exist outside America. If you would have put a Big Ben up there sure it would have looked a little strange....but disrespectful? I don't think your manager knows what that word means....
Tell him there is an Eiffel Tower in vegas, that should brighten his day. Vegas makes everyone happy
what the **** were you thinking!!!!.
Does he have this feeling about the Statue of Liberty too?
You must work at a hallmark?
The funny part is that France got ruined by that war... Partily because the US chose to have England as a trade partner instead of France and didn't repay the debts due for the weapons and troops. It propelled France into crisis which led to our revolution! I guess the argument is settled by the help from the world wars anyway. But every time I hear an american say that England is their only réal allie, i can't help but laugh!!
