Right

By Anonymous - This FML is from back in 2009 but it's good stuff - United States

Today, someone broke my car's left side mirror. A friend of mine was buying a replacement one and texted me to confirm which one I needed. He asked: "It's the driver's side, right?" To which I replied: "Right". I got the wrong mirror. FML

You guys do get the double meaning of 'right' in this FML, right? So of course it's an FML.

This really, really made me laugh. I do see the FML, though--I hate little confusions like that.

YDI for having a stupid friend.

The friend probably said "is it the drivers side or the right?" and OP probably heard it wrong and he didnt type it like that because that would have made it sound like his fault.

Except his friend texted him, so he didn't mishear it.

The friend did nothing wrong. He said "it's the drivers side, right?" and op said right, meaning the right side, but their friend thought they meant the drivers side. Neither of them are stupid, it was simply a misunderstanding.

Actually 134 that's backwards - ops friend asked if it was the drivers side, and OP replied right as in to say that's correct but instead got the right wing mirror, which wasn't broken... Just so you know ;)

Y.D.I. why do you have to text things like these? just pick up the phone and CALL, so you can clarify and you know the other person is really listening YDI.
