Today, I had my first job interview for eight months. My interviewer noticeably yawned during my reply to the first question. FML

They just might've been tired...i think you're over-thinking it...

Keep it short and simple. Nobody wants to listen to you talk for an hour about how dedicated and hardworking you are.

that's a good sign! he obviously don't care and will hire you

Maybe if you weren't so boring your interviewer wouldn't have yawned at you

YDI because you should know the answer to the first question. When the interviewer asked.......Name?

That doesn't make sense. Why would the first question be "What is your name?" if their name was already mentioned in their application, resume, cover letter, and introduction to the interviewer? The first question is almost always "So tell me about yourself" which always has a long response.

OP, this really isn't a FML. So what the interviewer yawned. If the interviewer didn't sleep well the night before, maybe they were cold, or as a previous person commented yawning is a way for our bodies to increase oxygen to the brain for clearer thinking. Yawning is actually a sign of focused concentration.
