Sketchy

By Anonymous - 23/04/2009 13:25 - United States

Today, I parked downtown for a few minutes to pick up a pizza. As I was getting out of my car, a sketchy guy came up and asked me for $5. I told him to get lost and walked away. I walked back to the lot with my pizza and my car was gone. The sketchy guy was a parking attendant. He had my car towed. FML

I'm sure he tried to tell you what he was doing and you just didn't listen. YDI I hope that pizza tasted good while you were sitting on the curb.

Seems kinda weird... a "Sketchy" guy would ASK for $5? You'd think they'd explain first and then tell you the price - if any. I would've thought it'd be up to the customer to leave some sort of tip for parking attendance... ... HMM.

First day in the big city? parking lots downtown are never free, the pizza place just leased a little store front, they don't own the parking lot.

YDI, even if he was just a regular person, you didnt have to dismiss him like that. RUDE D:

It was kind of rude to respond like that. You should've asked why he wanted or needed $5. I still voted FYL though

It sounds like a bit of miscommunication right there. Even you we're trying to keep your hard earned money out of someone else's hands, especially trying to get a free 5$, you shouldn't always judge someone by their appearance. But then again, he should have explained himself to you as we'll and/or you should have asked what the 5$ was for.

How did you not know he was the lot attendant? Didn't he tell you what the $5.00 was for?
